I want to smoke a front shoulder of small pig(maybe 4 pounds(bone in). I would also like to smoke the tenderloin with it. ANy ideas on time/temp on either(or both)...should I start with the shoulder and then after a couple of hours, put the tenderloin in? ANy help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

I usually cook my shoulders (15 lb) overnight 12 to 14 hours. a butt the size u describe will go lots faster and I would suspect that the time for that small a butt would be very close to the time for a tenderloin my guess would be 5 to 6 hours at 225

I recently cooked a 3.5 lb shoulder and it was done in 5 hours (internal temp at 190). That was at 225 and my unit tends to cook a little hot. I agree with the other gentleman on time.
