1100 vs. 1400

I am a newbe doing research for a first smoker. I know I want to go electric and I also really like the idea of a stainless model that is not going to rust and fall apart in a couple of years.

I keep looking at the 1100 and am just concerned about its size. It seems so small, is it large enough to cook for 4 people ? In general I don't think I would be doing much more than that.

Would I be better off going with the 1400 ?

Any insight would be appreciated.

You have to decide on $$ and quantity. I have the 1400 with the 5 shelves. I can get right at 1 slab of ribs per shelf after cutting them in 1/2. I really enjoy having the possibility to use the extra space.Both units are going to cook the same.And you wont go wrong with either choice.....Good Luck.....Happy Smokin'........Steve

For the difference in price, you will want the 1400. I looked at both of them, and when you think about the size of a chicken, rack of ribs, or whatever, you will want the bigger box.
