Not sure what's going on but I posted a question about my new 1500 series smoker and started getting Emails from a guy named Marijan (Diz) Dizdar.
His Email says he's the V.P. of Smokin Tex but I don't have a clue who he is or WHY he keeps quizzing me about my smoker. Can anyone confirm he exists OR that they have been contacted by him?
He wants serial numbers and buyer information like I STOLE this thing and I'm not inclined to give some guy I've never heard of the time of day.

Got another Email and it kind of Explains his concerns. The GOOD news is, I Have a 1500CXLD when I was bidding on a 1500-C. Do you guys still think I should call???
the last email:
Sorry, but we’re real careful about our smokers, had some counterfeit problems in the past and wanted to be sure you weren’t taken advantage of. From time to time they are sold on Ebay or elsewhere by people going out of business or some other reason. That sounds like your deal. The 1500-2 designation and grill sizes you gave us means it is not a 1500, it’s a 1500CXLD our largest commercial smoker.

It's a HAPPY smoker for sure! I'll be loading it down with ribs and brisket for a BBQ sale this weekend.
Since no cover is available I thought about rolling it inside the house... I wonder if the wife would notice. :D

Great thought. I would be honored to have mine in my kitchen. But again the wife would have other plans for my ST and myself......Steve

Mine is going in a commercial kitchen. I can see it now. I will be standing at the stove, the smoker will be on the left side of the stove. I will have some pot, pan, skillet in my hand. The smoker will be over loaded with a little to much wood and poof,it will pop real loud and exspell smoke from the door, created by the internal pressure being a little to high. I will of course throw whatever is in my hand on the cieling, creating one hell of a mess in my kitchen. Ain't smokin fun.:D
